Max Gladstone’s debut THREE PARTS DEAD, in which a first-year associate at an international necromantic firm must bring a recently deceased god back to life before His city falls apart, her only help a chain-smoking priest undergoing an understandable crisis of faith; when the two discover that the god was murdered, their quest for the truth will endanger their partnership, their lives, and the city’s slim hope of survival, to David Hartwell at Tor, in a two-book deal, by Weronika Janczuk at Lynn Franklin Associates, in association with D4EO Literary Agency (World English).
Yay! Max introduces a very smart, quirky world with elements I’ve never seen before in a fantasy, and I’m ecstatic that everyone will get a chance to read THREE PARTS DEAD and either a companion or direct sequel — time will tell which. You can congratulate Max via Twitter (@maxgladstone). *grin*
